The Brain Event

A millionaire dies but his brain
Is chilled, and survives without strain
And its cranium wave
Makes a doctor its slave
To fulfill its postmortem campaign.

Next to Frankenstein, The Lady and the Monster (George Sherman, 1944) is the daddy of all Evil Brain flicks. Though rather tepid stuff, it was the first film version of Curt Siodmak's classic criminal-brain novel, Donovan's Brain. The film starred Richard Arlen, Vera Hruba Ralston and Erich von Stroheim.

I know what you're thinking...It's Brain Week at Limerwrecks.
