Pest in Show

Down in secretive crypts where fog billows
Prince of Darkness has kipped on soft pillows
In a chest made of pine
He'd been resting his spine
Since he tripped on those damn armadillos.

David Cairns

One of the strangest things in Dracula (1931) is the appearance of armadillos in the castle in Transylvania. The species is native to the Americas, not Europe. Limerick lexicon: Kip (British) sleep or slumber; to sleep or take a nap. Vampire Weekends is fumigating.
