The limerick has nothing to do with the movie, as is often the case around here. Ads for the film urged viewers to "meet that Guild girl; she rhymes with wild." Based on The High Window by Raymond Chandler, the story was filmed before as Time To Kill, a 1942 Mike Shayne mystery starring Lloyd Nolan.
