The Persistence of Mummy

Across rivers and sand, mud and gravel,
Though unliving, he'll stand up and travel
He's not fleet, but he'll slog
And the meters he'll log
We'll forgive him if strands might unravel.

Lon Chaney Jr. plods through the foliage and The Mummy's Ghost (Reginald Le Borg; 1944), the final film in Universal's 1940s Mummy cycle.
