All it takes is a stupid misstep
One mistake that'll ruin your rep
A single hot date
That seemed to go great
Till a wake with a body to schlep.
Joan Bennett and Edward G. Robinson in The Woman in the Window (Fritz Lang, 1944). Aside from David Cairns, can anyone name the film that this limerick's title is a play on? Come on, film buffs!

I'm guessing "A Girl, A Guy, and A Gob." From the title, I think it took place in a TB ward.
Ha! About the title, at least, you are correct. The TB ward film was GREAT EXPECTORATIONS.
Not to mention, the desert sci-fi classic, PHLEGM!
And the late 60s counter-culture biker pic, WHEEZY RIDER.
A ROOM WITH A SPEW
That old TV show set in a TB Clinic---CHARLES IN DISCHARGE
DISCHARGE OF THE LIGHT BRIGADE
PETTICOAT CONSUMPTION---There's
a reason why Uncle Joe moved so slow
WHAT'S MUCUS, PUSSYCAT?
An Asian bred epidemic was depicted in FLU MANCHU.
A vengeful cabbie in TOXIC DRIVER
And the early Lee Marvin red scare classic, HACK OUT ON 101.
That drippy western,DROOL IN THE SUN, with the sniveling Gregory Peckish and Joseph Cottonswab
I can't top that one.
You can't go that low, eh?
I LIKE it.
I blame Finn Garner for this.
Let's get 'im!
I'm afraid I'd catch something.
You forgot Mark Wahlberg in BOOGER NIGHTS, so there
Maybe, but I remembered A Cough-icer and a Gentleman.
And we all love that Billy Wilder comedy classic, SOME LIKE IT SNOT.
THE PHLIM-PHLEGM MAN?
Don't forget that actress from many a British horror film---NASAL SNORT.
