Hoodlum Ornament

A crook who's not misunderstood
He's bad and he's up to no good
No jury or trial,
he's junked on a pile
He walked his last mile as a hood

The Hoodlum (Max Nosseck, 1951) is more straight gangster film than noir, but Lawrence Tierney's titular hoodlum is a far darker breed of sociopath than those in the earlier gangster film cycle of the thirties. This trashes our week on tough guy Tierney.
