Oui, Three!

There's only Deneuve and Bardot
That's all of the names that I know
My French is bad, oui?
Alors! Now there's three
I also know Jean Belmondo

Bardot Re Mi

This sexpot "beaucoup" (that's “a lot”)
had plenty to get the guys hot
But beauty Brigitte,
the world at her feet,
just let herself go to "les chats"

Open the D'Or

Dear father, I'm here for confession
It seems that I share an obsession
A Franco sex bomb
and golden grand dame
I trust you will use your discretion

French Confection

To say how I feel, I'm behooved
I'm smitten, I'm Catherine Deneuved
Her beauty, her charms
I so want her arms
Around me and never removed

Wecome to French Fixation Week
at Limerwrecks. Vive la France!

Governor's Balls Part 2

Some governors just want the cash
Of ethics their graft makes a hash
Like stains on blue dresses
some vice stops the presses
but call girls could give them a rash

The Blizzard of Oz

A blizzard, a terrible blow
had covered Chicago with snow
The city, snowed under
for kids was a wonder
We walked on the cars down below

These photos were all taken during Chicago's blizzard
of '67. I remember how silent the city was. With school
closed, we walked down the streets above buried
and stranded cars, here and there an antennae
poking up from the drifts.

Taint Misbehavin’

Ignoring the calls to resign
he claims that his record’s benign
His touch is malignant
but Blago’s indignant
and says that he’ll fight down the line

The senate appointment is tainted
in spite of appointee who’s sainted
Rod ain’t got a clue
It’s over, he’s through:
His cell in the pen’s being painted

As newsmen and cameras stare
he jogs down the street through the glare
He’s running in place
from public disgrace
A cellmate will blow dry his hair

New Year's Day of Reckoning

George Bush's New Year's resolution?
To find an Iraq War "solution"
The one way to win
was not to go in
Some sins do not get absolution

New Year's Heave

Tonight on this 'amateur night'
the vodka is chugged by the flight
Then shots full of jello
and stomachs say "Hello!"
while clutching the porcelain tight

Arey, Arey-Ola Free!

On Facebook, that modern Who's Who
Areolas are now a taboo
If you must affix
Your breast-feeding pics
That circle must be out of view

Read all about it, here

Sweet Dreams

Say good bye to Maurice Lenell
On Harlem they no longer sell
Their cookies so sweet
Right there on the street
Chicagoans mourn this death knell

Burstin' Burris's Bubble

Yo, Roland, you're goin' to D.C.
I know 'cause I saw it on T.V.
Your time's finally come
Too bad it came from
A governor who is so sleazy

Ann Savage, R.I.P.

Don't detour and don't hitch a ride
or headlong with fate you'll collide
Step into the shoes
of a corpse and you'll lose
Don't pick up this chick or you're fried

Actress Ann Savage starred in Edgar G. Ulmer's fleabag 1945 noir classic Detour (above). Her final film was Guy Maddin's My Winnepeg (below), released just last year.
