Flop Art

The artist named Vincent van Gogh
could not sell his paintings for dough
They deemed his work bad
and then he went mad
And to him a debt we all owe

  1. It's pronounced "Van GOCH"; didn't you see "Manhattan"? (Also see www.vggallery.com/misc/pronunciation.htm) I think this calls for a rewrite with an entirely new rhyme scheme.

  2. A rhyme scheming stickler, I see
A critic that bickers is he
    With license poetic
    I find him pathetic
    For never a nitpicker be

  3. What rhymes with Van Goch?

As pastor he tried leading flock
then donned a beret and a smock
    His sanity veered
    an earlobe he sheared
and shot himself down with a Glock
