Robert Montgomery both starred in and directed Ride the Pink Horse ( 1947). Wanda Hendrix played Pilar.

    An odd choice of color in noir
    In fact, I'd say pink is bizarre
    Though equine employed
    Is right out of Freud
    As symbol it's quite above par
